Main terms:
Serial number is a unique identifier representing a license that is not tied to an installation location.
Hardware identifier (HardwareID.txt) is a file that uniquely identifies the hardware configuration of the license installation location.
License is a file linked to the hardware configuration where the purchased software product is used.
1) Initial license activation
Each purchased license receives a serial number. The serial number allows you to obtain a license for a specific hardware configuration. After choosing the workstation where you want to use the license, generate the hardware identifier file HardwareID.txt using HardwareIDGenerator.exe included with the software.
To generate the license file, use the form on the original licence service. Specify the email address where you want to receive the license file, enter the issued serial number, and upload the hardware identifier file. After submitting the form, you will receive an email with a confirmation link. Once the email address is confirmed, the request will be queued for processing. After processing, the license file will be sent to the specified email address.
The received license file must be placed into the program folder.
2) License deactivation
To move a license to another workstation, first deactivate it on the previously activated workstation. Run DeactivateAndReactivateTool.exe and click “Deactivate license”. After confirmation, the license will be deactivated and ConfirmationKey.txt will appear in the utility folder.
Then use the form on the original licence service. Enter the email address and serial number, upload HardwareID.txt from the workstation where the license is being deactivated, and upload ConfirmationKey.txt. Until the current active license is deactivated, you cannot receive a license tied to another workstation.
After submitting the data, you will receive an email with a link to confirm your email address. After confirmation, your request will be processed and the result will be sent to the specified email address.
3) License reactivation
If you need to reactivate a license on the same workstation where it was previously deactivated, follow step 1. After processing, you will receive not only the license file but also a reactivation key. To reactivate the license, enter this key into the “Reactivation code” field in DeactivateAndReactivateTool.exe and click “Reactivate license”.
Attention: the reactivation key is one-time use and can be used only once. To move the license again later, you will need to repeat the deactivation procedure (step 2).
Updating an existing licence
If an existing licence stops working after a software update, generate a new HardwareID.txt file. On the original licence service, submit your email address, the old .license file and the new hardware identifier using its licence-update form. Confirm your email address using the link sent to you; the processing result will be returned by email.
